Easy Routes

Easy rides are designed for those who just want a casual, minimal climbing route.

EASY #1  WEST COUNTY TRAIL FROM OUR SHOP/OUT AND BACK
This is by far our favorite recommended ride for folks just wanting a casual ride with no climbs, and mostly trail riding. Round trip is 16.7 miles. It goes from Sebastopol to Forestville, and then returns the same way.

EASY #2: JOE RODOTA TRAIL FROM OUR SHOP/OUT AND BACK
This is also a nice route for folks just wanting a casual ride with no climbs, and mostly trail riding. It’s not quite as scenic as #1, running alongside the highway for a stretch, and eventually taking you to the city of Santa Rosa. This is the route you take if you have your heart set on some Russian River Brewery Pliny, as this trail leads to the center of town. Only 14.2 miles round trip.

EASY #3: SANTA ROSA CREEK TRAIL/JOE RODOTA RETURN FROM OUR SHOP
This is a much prettier route to Santa Rosa than the Joe Rodota, riding along Santa Rosa Creek, with an option to return the same way, or take the Joe Rodota back. This does involve a bit more road riding than the rides above, though the roads don’t have a lot of traffic, for the most part. This is also a flat ride. 17.7 miles

EASY RIDE #4 : SONOMA COUNTY AIRPORT FROM OUR SHOP
It’s easy to ride most of the smaller roads in the county. Though some are not in great shape, they offer beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. This is a route which takes you past the Creek Trail trailhead and continues north towards the SR Airport. It’s 23.6 miles and very little climbing.

EASY RIDE #5: WINDSOR TO THE RIVER OVERLOOK
If you’re up in Windsor and want to ride out to the river, here is a route which has little rollers, so not completely flat, but really lovely. 21 miles.

EASY RIDE #6: HEALDSBURG SMALL RIDE
Healdsburg is one of our favorite places to ride. This route will give you a clue why. Little rollers, so not flat, but not especially difficult. 22.1 miles.
